Dear Bible Memory Family,
This past week we have seen amazing things that God has done in the lives of high school students. Changed lives, encouraged lives, challenged lives. That said, we were excited to see what God would then do when we had a bunch of Jr. High and Elementary students at camp. Unfortunately, we will not be able to see His work at camp next week.
In light of the virus situation we find ourselves in, we never for once made any of our decisions based in fear. However, the absence of fear does not mean we do not use wisdom. In the last few days, the COVID-19 cases have spiked across the county in which the camp facility resides. Thus prompting a discussion with the Executive Board. Especially in light of the fact that churches that participate in Bible Memory Ministries have been exposed.
The Board and I still feel we have done what God has asked us to do by coming to Oklahoma this past week and the lives changed at high school camp only reinforce this decision. That said, we want to be proactive for the safety of our campers and staff and that is why the Executive Board is canceling next week’s Oklahoma Elementary and Jr. High camp.
We will start working on refunds for those of you who have submitted monies to the ministry sometime next week. If you would like to make a donation it would be greatly appreciated.
